New Beginning!

As Salam Alaykum sisters!

 It's Friday night baby girls and you know what that means...partaaay! haha well, us sisters have OUR own way of partying no? Which is waaaay better. At least we'll wake up and actually remember what happened the night before.

 So my lovely ladies, what are your plans for this Monday? Anything special planned or will it be just another night? Well, for your info Syira and I will be having our own little thing goin on. We'll most probably be at The Curve. I know I know, totally overrated but why not ey? They've got the most amazing fireworks and we both are pretty much obsessed with those "fire-y sparkly exploding" things!

 Hmmm that calls for an amazing outfit of the night too :O so excited! Aren't you all? Maaayn, can't wait. New beginnings always make you feel better. Don't it?

It's been almost 2 weeks..where'd you go?

 That's actually meant for us, where'd WE go? Well my beautiful sisters, we've been busy with our cousin's engagement and wedding. You know the whole thinggy majigg. The decorations, the dowry, the this the that bla bla bla. Planning a wedding is already hard so can you imagine actually pulling it off? Well, basically it's a gathering during buka puasa or some of you may call it iftar with all you pretty ladies and the owners of Ayra Awa which is of course Syira and I. 


2.Why have this dinner?


Because we'd love to get to know all of you, silly! We wanna know you're stories, experiences, sense of style, everything. Simply because we want to have a special connection with our fellow Muslim sistahs. We want to get to know you all and also, we want you to get to know us too as individuals NOT just owners of some brand because we feel that it's important to connect with people and share our stories and knowledge. After all, Islam is all about having strong ties with fellow Muslim brothers and sisters, no?

There's nothing much to do at this hour and I can't sleep. By the way "I" refers to Puteri because usually I handle the blog, Syira handles the website and we BOTH handle facebook. So now you all know! 

Hmmm let's see, what do I feel like talking about? Oh yes! I do have something to tell you all. Actually we both do but..unfortunately I can't tell you all now because the story's too awesome to be told now. Ya'll we'll just have to wait til I'm done with the story. A day or 2 maybe? Man! I wish I could tell you all now. An interesting read I should say. Nope, no hints or clues. All you can do is WAIT. That's the worse part, I know!

Don't worry, the longer you wait the better! It's so worth it. Why? because the story's pretty long so it's gonna take some time to get it all down. Don't want any miss out any details now, do we?

Ayra Awa's FIRST INTERVIEW!

Lovelieeeeeeees! This is Ayra Awa's first interview, oh my god. 

We're planning to do this every once in a while. This is a friend of mine who agreed to be interviewed after I begged him a kajillion bajillion times. Why did I? Well, a man's point of view is different compared to a woman's. Here I asked him questions about...well you're just gonna have to watch!

As-salam Alaykum ladies! First of all, Ayra Awa would like to apologize. We're really sorry we haven't been posting up new things. But we've got a real good explanation :D 


As you all know, the owners of Ayra Awa are still studyin'. Therefore, we've got assignments to do and classes to attend. Which brings us to our next point. Syira's been really busy with her assignment and as for me, I had an exam on Saturday. Yes, first day of Ramadhan and I've gotta sit for an exam. Amazing huh? haha. Well, everything's done anyway so alhamdulillah. 


Now the GOOD NEWS! Syira's gotta hand in her assignment tomorrow and I'm done with my exam. So that means we. are. FREEEEEEEEE! Being free means more pictures, more tutorials, more vids, more everything! Insya'Allah everything will go back to normal soon and I hope you beautiful ladies out there will stay tuned and keep the love comin'!

Good midnight beautiful souls! 


As you all know just a few hours ago Syira and I attended a family dinner cum Ayra Awa gathering. We call it Ayra Awa gathering, why? Because this is a family business ya know? And our supportive cousins were all there! 


We had our yummy dinner at Ole ole Bali, Solaris. Lotsa good food there! For those of you who have never been, make time and GO. My personal favourite drink is of course the Honeydew with Honey and Mint. Ouuu la la, it doesnt get any better than that girls. Second favourite would be the Banana and Palm Sugar. yummm! 


Good food? YES! Let's see...oh gosh! I don't remember any of their names. hahahaha. But I remember what I had, nasi campur or something like that. It comes with grilled fish, 2 kinds of vegetables, satay, squids, prawns, chicken/beef and rice. phewh! That's a lot for one person so we usually share. Order 1 meal and just add a bowl of rice.


Enough about food, next is about fashion! Syira and I have this really cool thing in our brains which enables us to mysteriously know what the other person is wearing be it colour or theme. We would ALWAYS have almost the exact same    top/pants/colour/accessories on. Sometimes we do discuss and plan what to wear but that's usually for events. We're talking about ordinary days, here. Anywho if you don't believe me, check this out!

Corporate Video Shoot on the way!

Salam sisters! So, today was our Corporate Video shoot day and guess what? It was tiring. haha but that's not all. It was fun too! We started at about 3.30pm and everything was a wrap by 8pm. Not on schedule BUT being fashionable takes time.


What did we do?


First of all when we got there, make up please! We had sorta like 2 different themes. We went for fun and funky with Sarah and Sabrina. As for Farina and Farisha, a more mysterious look. 


Colours we used were?


-Vibrant blue for Sabrina with a touch of glim glam glitter!
-Screaming yellow and green with a bold winged liner for Sarah.


-Shimmery bronze smokey eye for Farina.
-Dark mystique brown for Farisha!


After all that makeup and getting dolled up...clothes! First change, we dressed them up in 2 different themes. One was our Signature Kimono Dress and the other was our favourite 2 in 1 Mrs. Cardy! Next change was mix and match for Sarah and Sabrina and Cropped Abaya for Farina and Farisha. 


Bla bla bla, more pictures and the video shoot. And then......weeee! Everything was over. Ahh, time flies so fast these days huh? So after everything was done, Cinderella turned back into herself and the royal carriage..or pumpkin, took off!

Good afternoon ladies! We're so sorry we haven't been updating our blog. We've been really busy so we don't really have time to do EVERYTHING. Aloha! How's everyone doing today? We hope you're doing great. So, no tutorials for today...yet. Hehehe, hopefully there will be one later in the day if I'm not feeling like a lazy bum today. Hahaha naah, no lazy bum. We've been really busy so tutorials will slow down a little for the time being. For those of you who don't know, Syira and I are still studying. Yes! Studying AND working at the same time. Definitely not the easiest thing to do. Here's a little story about the both of us!

Syira:

She'll be turning 24 on the 18th of July this year, weeeeeee! She's studying Mass Comm. so yes, that means she's the one who talks a lot and is really comfortable with meeting new people and handling anything that has to do with other human beings. haha. She's great though! Other than that, she's the only girl in the family and is the youngest of 2 siblings (including her). 

Puteri:

I will be turning 19 on the 25th of August this year, woo hoo! I'm studying Learning Disorder Management and Child Psychology, totally different from the rag trade! Like I explained above, Syira's the one who's good at interacting with people therefore, I'm the boring one who sits behind the desk and gets inspired to design clothes and create the accessories! hahaha. I'm also the only girl and also the youngest but of 4 siblings (including me).

So there you have it! A quickie about our lives. Now do you see why we're so close and can work together? Lotsa similarities yet lotsa differences but we compliment each other in that part. Anywho, I hope this was fun to read! Stay tuned for moreeeeeeeeeee.

Hey girls! We've got more tutorials to show you today, yaaaaaaay. Today's tutorial is about our Mrs. Cardy. Some of you were probably wondering how to style our outfits, fortunately for you girls we've got that covered now! We'd definitely say that Mrs. Cardy is our bestfriend. Why? Because especially for women who just started wearing the hijab, to change your whole wardrobe in a day is for sure..impossible! So Mrs. Cardy's an alternative to that. 


As you all know, most girls own tight clothes. Lots of 'em. But what happens when Allah shines His light upon you and decides to grant you hidayah? You don't expect to throw them all away do you? So what do you do? We say, find options and turn your old clothes into something that you can still wear and look modest. So that's the purpose of Mrs. Cardy. Don't believe me? Tutorial!

It's 1.20am and I'm really sleepy but because I love you all so much, I will strain my eyes and stay awake for a bit more to update you about our NEW hijabs and upload the video. yaaaaaaaaay! 

So about the NEW hijabs. They just came in TODAY! Flew all the way from the beautiful land of Cambodia. What's great about this hijab is that it gives pretty good coverage and it's not very soft so you can shape it according to how you like it. Other than that, you don't need to wear a bonnet because it sticks to your head! ahhh, how wonderful. Life made easy ;)

Salam everyone, Ayra Awa would like to apologize for having such a simple blog. We've been meaning to create a blog before the launch of our clothing line, unfortunately we had absolutely no time. But! Alhamdulillah, everything went smoothly and we finally launched Ayra Awa last Sunday, 24th of June 2012.
